Four boxer puppies suffering from demodex, a type of mange or parastic mites, have been rescued from a breeder in Lincolnton by Asheville-based WNC Boxer Rescue Inc.

“It only comes out in stress and times of undernourishment,” said Robbie Ivey, the rescue’s executive director. He said he was told they came from a breeder but had no other information.
